Business Development Manager

Job Description

We are looking for highly motivated, organised, and insightful Business Development Manager to work with us to operate and grow our business. Whilst established for many years we have in the last 3 years embarked on an aggressive growth plan which has seen us become a leading provider of energy market data, analysis, and consultancy.

We influence and inform, investors, banks, traders and government agencies on a daily basis and we are looking to consolidate our position in our established market and grow our products and services into Continental Europe and the wider world by developing your skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Prospect and qualify new sales leads across the UK and continental European energy markets, using a combination of email and LinkedIn and telephone contact.
  • Schedule EnAppSys platform demonstrations with prospects (to be delivered virtually, primarily by Account Managers).
  • Track sales activities in company CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly.
  • Communicate customer and prospect product requirements to development teams.
  • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects.
  • Meet and/or exceed quotas.
  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimise the sales effort.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of sales experience.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Basic understanding of energy markets is desirable but not essential as on the job training will be provided.
  • A second European language would be beneficial but not essential.

  • Location: Stockton-on-Tees.
