We are looking for high performance students looking to experience a year in work as part of their software degree who will be able to fit into a development team that solves interesting problems for traders and energy market participants across Europe.
Our software placement scheme is based around exposing you to real problems and we will be looking to integrate you as part of our software team, to ensure that you work on real projects, whilst providing the support needed to help you succeed.
You will initially start on small discrete projects, supported by experienced members of our software team, as you get up to speed. Over time, we will look to expose you to more of the system and to find a role for you within the team that will allow you to work directly on our production systems and to allow you get used to working within a software team in a live environment. We are keen for people to grow with us, and professional development is available beyond your study.
You would be joining us at a crucial time as we are working on new systems to interface with electricity markets across Europe to trade, monitor and dispatch power stations and demand response in wholesale and balancing markets.
You will be currently working towards a degree (or equivalent) in software or around computer science, mathematics, engineering, or science. With a passion for solving problems, a keen eye for detail and self-motivation, you must be eager to learn, enthusiastic and confident in applying your existing and newly acquired software skills.
