Recently at the Tees Tech Awards we were recognised with the coveted Company of the Year Title. The event was organised by Tees Business in partnership with Middlesbrough Digital and Digital City and attracted more than 300 attendees.
During the initial application process we didn’t even think we would be nominated, let alone to win the award was a dream. To have such a big recognition and being nominated alongside Vianet Group and SockMonkey Studio, will only enable us to grow to new heights.
Phil Hewitt and Paul Verrill directors of EnAppSys expressed initial shock of winning the award. Paul Verrill said “We’re absolutely thrilled to win the award, It’s the first time we’ve entered, so we’re amazed we’ve won. Energy is a big thing at the moment – it’s a big topic so we’ve probably hit the right point”.
Phil Hewitt also said, “We’ve just been getting on with the job, but we decided that we need to up our profile a bit to try and access the local talent pool, because there are people out there we want to fire.
The next step for the business is European Expansion plans, with 35 staff and a base in Terneuzen, the Netherlands, the business has gone through a rapid growth phase in the last few years. We are already well known in Ireland, Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium and France, this year we’re entering Italy, Spain and Portugal.
