Prices

Average Day-Ahead price was €76.46/MWh, from €87.71/MWh last week. Price peaked at €171.62/MWh on Monday 9th January at 19:00.

Average System Price Positive was €50.78/MWh, whilst average System Price Negative was €87.08/MWh.

Generation and Demand

Total demand was 4670GWh, with an average hourly demand of 27.8GW, and a 34.67GW peak.

Wind (8.79 GW), nuclear (6.96 GW) and hydro (5.22 GW) were the largest contributors. Interconnectors had a net export of 0.55 GW on average this week.

Interconnectors’ flows

Net physical flow with France was: -98GWh. Total of energy exported was 197GWh, whilst energy imported was 99GWh.

Net physical flow with Portugal was: 6GWh. Total of energy exported was 57GWh, whilst energy imported was 64GWh.

Overall, net physical flow was: -92GWh. Largest hourly import was 2.97GW, on Thursday 12th January at 20:00. Largest hourly export was 3.54GW, on Monday 9th January at 15:00.

Prices

Average Day-Ahead price was €87.71/MWh, from €37.11/MWh last week. Price peaked at €177.98/MWh on Thursday 5th January at 19:00.

Average System Price Positive was €61.31/MWh, whilst average System Price Negative was €102.41/MWh.

Generation and Demand

Total demand was 4217GWh, with an average hourly demand of 25.1GW, and a 31.59GW peak.

Nuclear (6.56 GW), wind (6.24 GW) and hydro (4.73 GW) were the largest contributors. Interconnectors had a net export of 0.42 GW on average this week.

Overall, net physical flow was: -70GWh. Largest hourly import was 3.95GW, on Thursday 5th January at 05:00. Largest hourly export was 4.04GW, on Friday 6th January at 15:00.
